"Gusto mo ng extra income?" — and suddenly, you’re broke 💸
It always starts the same way. You're just scrolling Facebook, laughing at memes, when suddenly a post appears:
“Easy extra income. PM is the key. 🎯”
You’re curious. You message. The reply is quick: “Subok lang po, pusta ka lang ₱500, balik agad ₱1,000.”
And what do they do? They actually give it back. You feel smart. “Uy, legit!” you whisper with kilig.
Then what?
You bet ₱1,000 — they give ₱2,000. You bet ₱5,000 — balik agad ₱10,000. Now you’re hooked. “Genius ko talaga,” you tell yourself.
So you bet ₱20,000. This time… no reply. Seenzone ka lang. You try again. Blocked ka na.
Real story: "My friend started with ₱200. By the end of the night, she had sent ₱120,000... and got nothing back."
🧠Psychology 101: Why we fall for it
- ✅ Variable rewards: You win at first, so your brain thinks it’s legit. This is called reinforcement.
- 🎲 Sunk cost fallacy: “Sayang na, baka bumalik.” You keep betting more to recover your loss.
- 🤹‍♂️ Loss chasing: You bet higher and higher thinking the next one will “hit jackpot.”
- 💬 Social proof: You see screenshots of “winners.” Spoiler: scripted lahat ’yan.
Here's how the trap works:
- Small bet → they return the money + profit
- Medium bet → still return it
- Big bet → BLOCKED. Gone. Game over.
Warning: If someone says “this is 100% legit,” that’s usually your sign to run. Fast.
🙋‍♂️ So what should you do?
- Don’t trust strangers online who promise money. Even if they say “legit.”
- If it sounds too good to be true — it probably is.
- Keep your money. Or just buy isaw. At least may laman tiyan mo.
Stay safe, stay smart. Don’t let fake online games play you.
